The 3rd Annual AAA Club Competition and Presentation Ceremony was held at the Sandhill Centre today, and the event was the largest and most successful to date!There were exciting competitions in Individual Trampoline, Synchro Trampoline and DMT, plus displays by the AAA Tigers!There were also Elite Events in each section, and the Champions for 2010 are:

The Presentation Ceremony also featured video presentations, and was attended by some special VIPs, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Sunderland, Steve Whalley from Springfree Trampolines, Katie Lawton and Jasmine Danby from British Gymnastics, Mark Black and Marie Gardiner from Sun FM, and a special appearance by Nicole Wermter direct from Germany!The Presentation was followed by a great buffet and disco, and everyone had a great time dancing the night away!Head Coach Andi Revell said The Club Competition is always the most fun day of the year, and this year was defiantly the best yet!Congratulations to everyone who took part in all the different events!Also, a massive thank you goes out to everyone who helped out at the event to ensure that everything ran as smoothly as it did! 20-Jun-10: Club Competition Now Available

19-Jun-10: Peter & Charlotte Qualify As L3 Trampoline Club Coaches
Congratulations to Peter and Charlotte who this weekend passed their L3 Trampoline Club Coach assessments!This means that the Club now has 4 Trampoline Club Coaches (along with Jade and Susan), enabling a better standard of coaching throughout the Club and offering more opportunities to our members!
12-Jun-10: AAA Attend Gymnastics England Awards
AAA were honoured to be the only Gymnastics club in the North of England to be invited to the Gymnastics England Awards in Loughborough this evening.Andi, Jade, Peter and Colin travelled to the award ceremony, where AAA Trampoline & DMT Club were nominated for Gymnastics Club of the Year and Peter was nominated for Most Improved Gymnast of the Year!Head Coach Andi said Being nominated for such a prestigious award is a real achievement for the Club, and wouldnt be possible without all the help and support of our members.Also, the nomination for Peter as Most Improved Gymnast is a very well deserved nomination and really demonstrates how hard he has worked this year.
07-Jun-10: AAA Expands Again Adds 2 New Venues
This week sees the launch of 2 new sessions at 2 new AAA venues!From this week, AAA will start operating Trampoline sessions at Peterlee Leisure Centre every Tuesday from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, as well as a new Trampoline session at the Seaburn Centre every Saturday from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.This means that AAA now operates sessions in 5 different venues across Sunderland and County Durham!
06-Jun-10: Graded D-H Results AAA Gets Another Qualifier
Last time AAA attended a Graded D-H at Ashington Leisure Centre the Club had excellent success, and this was repeated at the event today!For many of our members this was the first time they had competed at Regional G, but AAA still came out with podium placings, plus lots of personal best scores:

23-May-10: AAA Gets New Equipment!
AAA today purchased new equipment for our members!The Club have bought 2 Eurotramp 6x4mm trampolines to be used at the Sandhill Centre, providing the best possible trampolines for our Elite members to use, and allowing us to move 2 trampolines to our newest venue at the Seaburn Centre, which will start operating next month.The Club also purchased another DMT, which will double the capacity of our hugely successful DMT sessions at the Raich Carter Sports Centre!
31-Mar-10: Springfree Trampolines To Present The 2010 Club Competition

28-Mar-10: Northern Ireland Gala Results
This weekend was the 4th competition in a row for the AAA Coaches, as they travelled to Newtownards in Northern Ireland with AAA Members to take part in the Northern Ireland Gala and what a competition it was!Everyone had a great weekend, and AAA had fantastic results at the event, including:
oPeter won the National C U19 Boys Trampoline Event, securing promotion to FIG B for next season
oNathaniel won the FIG B O15 Boys DMT Event, securing promotion to FIG A for next season with scores high enough to Trial for the GB DMT team
oPeter also came second in the FIG B O15 Boys DMT Event, gaining qualification to the British National DMT Championships in July 2010
oCatherine & Amy competed in the National C DMT Event, just missing out on qualification to the British National DMT Championships

Today was the second Graded D-H competition of 2010, with AAA Members travelling to the Louisa Centre, Stanley for the event.The competition was very tough, but there were still some excellent results:

14-Mar-10: National Schools Results
Peter, Bradley and Natalie travelled to Bristol this weekend to compete in the British Schools National Trampoline Finals.All 3 had qualified through the Regional Schools Event in December, and the Zonal Schools Event in January before being allowed to compete in the National Schools Event.The competition standard was extremely high, but all 3 performed excellently, with the biggest success from Peter, who was placed 2nd in the Under 19 Boys Elite Event.Congratulations to all 3 members, heres hoping that next years Schools competition is just as successful!Full results can be found on the Results page.
07-Mar-10: Yorkshire Gala Results
Members of the DMT squad travelled to Hull this weekend to take part in the Yorkshire Gala, and AAA gained their second qualifier to the 2010 British Championships.Nathaniel came 3rd in FIG B DMT at the event, securing his space to the Championships in July 2010.Holly also competed in her first DMT event!Congratulations to both!Full results can be found on the Results page.

03-Feb-10: Tyne & Wear Finals 2010
Following the success of the 2009 event, it was announced this week Tyne & Wear Sport and AAA Trampoline Club will be joining forces once again to run the 3rd Annual Tyne & Wear Trampoline Competition.The event consists of qualifying events which will be held in October in each area of Tyne & Wear (Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland), followed by the Tyne & Wear Trampoline Final, which will be held at the Sandhill Centre on Saturday 13th November 2010.
02-Feb-10: AAA To Host October 2010 Graded D-H
After successfully hosting the January 2010 Graded D-H competition during the worst weather the area has seen for many years, it was announced today that AAA will host the event again in October 2010 at the Sandhill Centre.The competition will be held on Sunday 3rd October 2010 and will be the first competition of the 2010/2011 season.Coach Susan Robertson said Being able to host competitions is a real bonus for the Club not only does it give us an opportunity to raise funds, but it also gives our members a chance to compete on the same equipment they train on in front of a home crowd!An excellent recipe for success!The atmosphere is always great at our Sandhill competitions and we look forward to meeting the extended families of our competitors and welcoming other Clubs from across the region to Sandhill!
01-Feb-10: Sun FM Visit AAA!
Mark Black and Marie Gardiner from Sun FM had a private Trampoline and Cheerleading session today with Andi, Jade and Peter at Raich Carter SC!Both presenters had a fantastic time, learning basic skills on the Trampoline and trying out some simple Cheer jumps and stunts on the floor. There were plenty of photos and videos taken, and photos will be available on both this site and the Sun FM website soon!
31-Jan-10: AAA Are Going To Derwent Hill!
AAA have booked a visit to Derwent Hill from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th September 2010!Derwent Hill is an Outdoor Activity Centre near Keswick, and AAA members who visit will take part in such activities as kayaking, climbing, gorge walking and so much more!Also available will be the new ropes course, as well as the chance to take on the Death Swing!Prices are £165 per person and include all activities, accommodation, travel, food and insurance!Spaces are only available to AAA members, and are on a strictly first-come-first-served basis with a £55 deposit guaranteeing a space!See your coach for more information!

During these sessions, he will take photos of all members whilst they are training and there will be no interruption of the sessions.Some images will be available to view and order at the end of each session.Then, on Sunday 14th February, the photographer will be at Sandhill from 10:00am to 1:30pm to allow all members to come along and have some posed photographs, including group shots, taken using the Trampolines at Sandhill.AAA kit will be available to hire if members would like to use them for their posed photos.All photos will then be placed on the photographers website on a password-protected page.The password will be given to all members to enable them to view and purchase their photos!
29-Jan-10: AAA Session Photographs
AAAsports have arranged for a professional gymnastics photographer to attend all sessions during week commencing 8th February 2010.The photographer will be present at each session, and will take photos of all members during the session, including posed photos and training photos.Each image will then be uploaded to the photographers password-protected website, with AAA members being given access to view and buy the professional quality photos.Dont forget to look your best for these sessions AAA kit will be available to hire as well if needed!
28-Jan-10: Sun FM Are Coming To AAA!
On Monday, presenters from Sun FM will be visiting the Raich Carter Sports Centre to have their own private Trampoline and Cheerleading session with Andi and Jade!Mark Black and Marie Gardiner will be having their session recorded and then segments will be played back next week on Sun FM, along with photos and a report on the Sun FM website!
27-Jan-10: Dartfish Arrives!
The members of the Elite Squad got an unexpected treat today, when AAA began to use their new Dartfish Analysis software!Dartfish is an excellent program which records moves and routines of a performer, and then allows for instant replay and in-depth slow-motion analysis of each element.The program will be used extensively throughout all Elite sessions, giving AAA Elite Squad members the best possible tools to reach their full competition potential.

17-Jan-10: Zonal Schools Results
This weekend, 5 members of the Club travelled to Hull to take part in the Northern Zonal Schools Competition, after qualifying to the event at the Regional Schools competition in December.The best competitors from the North, North West, Yorkshire and Northern Ireland took part in the event, with the top 3 from each event qualifying to the National Schools event in Bristol in March 2010.AAA had some excellent results from the event, including:

28-Dec-09: AAA Fancy Dress Parties
For one week every year, all Recreation sessions turn in to crazy AAA Fancy Dress sessions, and 2009 was the best yet!There were 5 different Fancy Dress sessions this year, and most people were dressed up photos can be found on the Gallery page!Highlights of this years costumes included:

However, the winner of the 2009 Fancy Dress costume went to ALISON HEDLEY and MARION DAVIES, who came together as Jedward, complete with their own microphones!Thankfully there was no singing involved though!Congratulations to everyone who took part the winners prizes will be given out in January!
23-Dec-09: AAA Gets A Rig!
There was an early Christmas present for AAA today their very own overhead rig!The brand new rig was installed at the Sandhill Centre today and will be in use from January 2010.This means that the Trampoline Club will now be able to work on more complex skill with added safety and security.Because of the excellent location within the hall, the rig can also be used by AAA Cheerleading Club to practice their more difficult skills.
05-Dec-09: Regional Schools Results
AAA Trampoline & DMT Club had their best ever Regional Schools results today!The competition at Temple Park saw over 500 competitors from the North of England taking part, and the top 3 competitors from each age group qualify to the Zonal Schools competition, where they will face the top 3 competitors from the North West, Yorkshire and Northern Ireland.There were some excellent results, especially:

AAA Trampoline & DMT Club played host to the Tyne & Wear Trampoline Final today at the Sandhill Centre, working in conjunction with Tyne & Wear Sport.All the competitors in the event had qualified from Partnership rounds held in Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland and were competing for themselves, their school and their Partnership.At the end of the event, AAA Trampoline & DMT Club presented a trophy which will be contested each to the winning partnership, which this year was Gateshead.Congratulations to everyone who took part!

The Sunderland Qualifier for the Tyne & Wear Trampoline Final took place at the Sandhill Centre today, which is being organised by AAA Trampoline Club and Tyne & Wear Sport.There were 8 AAA members taking part in the event, and AAA had an excellent day by securing 6 qualifiers including all the Elite placings!The results were:

Huge congratulations to Peter and Catherine who took part in the British Championships at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham this weekend.Both qualified at the Gala Events held throughout the UK, earning the chance to compete against the best competitors in the country, with Peter competing in Trampoline and DMT and Catherine competing in DMT.Their results were:

Competitors from around the region descended on the Sandhill Centre today, as AAA Trampoline Club hosted their first ever Graded D-H competition.There were 14 AAA members competing in the competition today and the Club, including 3 competitors who hadnt competed for AAA before!The Club had some good results as well, with Jak-E (O15B E) coming 2nd and both Bradley (U11B H) and Catherine (U15G D) coming 3rd in their respective events.Well done to everyone who took part results are in the Competition section!
18-May-09: North of England Gala Results
This weekend saw 4 members of AAA compete in the North of England Gala, which was held at Temple Park Leisure Centre.The Club had some excellent results, especially in DMT, where Peter came 2nd and qualified for FIG B!Carmel in DMT for the first time, helping the Girls DMT team come 5th overall.Full results can be found in the Competition section!

Today Andi passed his Level 2 General Gymnastics coach, meaning he is now a qualified coach in 5 different gymnastics disciplines!This means the Club can now draw on expertise from 7 different disciplines to ensure the best possible teaching methods, practices and ideas from throughout gymnastics are used in the Club!

AAA surprised its DMT competitors with a Brand New Eurotramp DMT!The DMT is the best that is currently available on the market, and cost over £2500!It is of International standard, and is the same type of DMT that are used at the Galas around the country!
